Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Maintain records of inspections, audits, safety violations, and training.
  • Coordinate with project supervisors and clients to ensure HSEQ compliance during onboard works.
  • Monitor the proper use of PPE and ensure availability of first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and other safety tools.
  • Maintain records of incidents reports, accidents, and near misses.
  • Assist in accident investigations and recommend corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
  • NEBOSH IGC certification or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Familiarity with marine operations and repair procedures is an added advantage.
  • Strong observation, reporting, and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of hazard identification and control in marine operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in shipyard and onboard environments under varying weather conditions.

    Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of compliance with HSEQ policies, procedures, and regulations across all operational activities
  • Encourage and promote a positive HSEQ culture among employees and site personnel.
  • Monitoring of HSEQ practices at shipyards, workshops, dry docks, and onboard vessels.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of HSEQ documentation, reports, and records.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Reporting and analysis of HSEQ incidents and ensure corrective and preventive actions are tracked and implemented.
  • Organize HSEQ training and awareness sessions for staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely calibration and maintenance of safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, first aid kits, PPE, etc.).
  • Support the development and review of method statements, job safety analyses (JSAs), and safe work procedures.
  • Stay updated with Dubai Municipality, DMCA, EHS Trakhees, and other local regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with different departments to promote and support HSEQ initiatives and campaigns.
  • Support the implementation of ISO 9001 standard.
  • Encourage and promote a positive HSEQ culture among employees and site personnel.
