Description

The Millennium Group International (TMG) is seeking a Junior Human Research Protections Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science & Technology Directorate’s Human Research Protections Group (HRPG). This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to contribute to the ethical oversight and compliance of DHS-sponsored research involving human subjects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in science, health policy, law, information technology, or a related field.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in a regulatory, research, compliance, or administrative support role.
  • Working knowledge of human subjects research protections and federal regulations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and manage multiple assignments with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DHS security clearance.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Exposure to Institutional Review Board (IRB) operations, compliance frameworks, or federal research programs.
  • Interest in pursuing Certified IRB Professional (CIP) credential in the future.

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Assist in reviewing human subjects research protocols and documentation for compliance with federal regulations, including the Common Rule (6 CFR Part 46).
  • Collect, organize, track, and archive regulatory and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain and update databases and tracking systems used for compliance monitoring and reporting.
  • Support the planning and delivery of outreach, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Assist in preparing compliance reports, briefing materials, and internal communications.
  • Participate in team meetings and support interactions with researchers, program managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide quality assurance through document editing and organization.
  • Be available for local, regional, or national travel to support site visits or training events as needed.
