About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Junior Human Resources Assistant to join our team on a 3-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in HR work, with education either, completed or in progress towards an HR certification/designation. This role involves working through various HR administrative tasks and projects, providing essential support to our HR department.

EDUCATION

  • Completion of Bachelor’s in HR, HR Diploma or in progress towards completion of HR certification or program.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1+ years of experience in HR, preferred.

  • Strong Organizational and Communication Skills
  • Ability to manage high volumes work and/or transactions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to develop rapport with managers and employees.
  • Confidentiality with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative duties such as updating employee databases in our PeopleSoft HRIS system.
  • Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials.
  • Compensation Classification: Work closely with the HR Operation team to update compensation data to ensure accurate setup for positions across the organization required for appropriate pay and duties categorization of roles,
  • General Inquires: As required, answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes, referring more complex questions to senior HR staff or management.
  • Job Descriptions Alignment: Support on going activities to align accurately job description to data in HRIS to support recruitment team by sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and communicating with applicants.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records, performing periodic audits to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Project Support: Assist with various HR projects and initiatives as needed.
    Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON
    Hybrid – At least 2 days onsite weekly
