QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Building Automation, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in IDC design or related industries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio; BIM (Revit) project experience is an asset.
• Familiarity with IDC design codes (e.g., GB 50174).
• Strong problem-solving skills, responsibility, and teamwork spirit.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Junior Designer, you will take ownership of specific subsystems in IDC projects, developing design drawings and solutions under the guidance of senior staff. You will bridge theory and practice, ensuring compliance and accuracy while gaining hands-on project experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently complete layout and drawings for small to mid-sized IDC projects (e.g., cabinet layouts, structured cabling, cable trays).
• Contribute to subsystem design (power, HVAC, fire protection, finishes) for larger projects.
• Proficiently use CAD, Visio to prepare floor plans, schematics, and detailed drawings.
• Apply BIM for clash detection and basic pipeline coordination.
• Assist with equipment selection, bill of materials, and design reviews.
• Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, engineering) on technical issues.
• Provide support during site follow-ups and handle basic design changes.
