Join the dynamic team at Thompsons Africa as a Junior Inbound Reservations Consultant based in Durban. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a leading destination management company specializing in South and Southern Africa. Key Responsibilities: Assist with FIT reservations and quotations Prepare accurate and competitive travel itineraries and costings Liaise with suppliers, including hotels, lodges, transport providers, and activity operators Manage booking confirmations, amendments, and cancellations Ensure all reservations are captured accurately and timeously on the system Maintain excellent communication with internal teams, customers, and suppliers Support Reservations Consultants with administrative and operational tasks Ensure deadlines are met, and service delivery standards are maintained This role is perfect for an individual passionate about travel, and committed to delivering outstanding travel experiences. Qualification: Grade 12 or equivalent completion required Post-secondary qualification in travel, tourism, or a related field is a plus Experience: Previous experience in inbound tourism or tour operating, customer service, or related fields Knowledge of South and Southern Africa destinations will be advantageous Experience working within reservations systems will be advantageous An understanding of FIT travel planning will be advantageous Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and to work under pressure Customer-focused with a positive attitude and willingness to support team members Computer literate A passion for travel and an interest in South and Southern African destinations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and a hunger to learn and develop Working in a vibrant culture-centric company.
