Title: Junior Information Analyst- Student
Salary: $22.44 - $26.27 - $28.90 per hour (pay range explained below)
Contract: Term until December 31, 2025
Hours: Casual – 37.5 hours (Mon-Fri 8:30 – 4:30)
Location: Metro Vancouver: Alberni office, on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Waututh Nations. (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).

EDUCATION

  • Currently enrolled in a university degree or diploma program in Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Recent and relevant experience in data analysis, manipulation, and interpretation, preferably in the health sector, is an asset
  • Experience analysing electronic medical record (EMR) data is an asset
  • Experience working with any three of the following: Tableau, SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI
  • Experience working with office productivity software (Microsoft Office suite of products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of health related programs and services within First Nations communities is an asset
  • Knowledge of the BC health care system specifically primary care is an asset
Responsibilities

As Junior Information Analyst, you will works with a variety of data sources to create reports and dashboards, and perform required data analysis. You will utilizes a combination of programming, analytical, reporting, and data visualization tools to present data and analytic findings in a meaningful way to support the development and evaluation of strategies, policies, and procedures in Health Benefits and Services. Additionally, you will analyse and documents business processes and workflows to ensure that data is processed, warehoused, analysed and interpreted correctly, as well as works on the transformation, streamlining and optimization of processes and workflows to improve overall team productivity.
