Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for: Applying roles in Inspection, Cold Chain, Food Safety and Export Certification related to the specified geographical area. Coordinating compliance to prescribed processes, procedures and protocols within the framework of the Agricultural Product Standards Act. Ensuring adequate competency levels within the Harmonization framework. Inspection and certification of perishable products. Inspection of the handling, storage and transport of perishable products. Coordinating compliance to prescribed processes, procedures and protocols within the framework of the Perishable Products Export Control Board Act. Ensure correct application of quality management systems, procedures and work instructions. Ensure adherence to Service Level agreements. Ensuring effective two-way communication internal and external. Administrative tasks and reporting related to the execution of services. Accept the responsibility of continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility according to the PPECB performance system. Job Requirements A tertiary qualification in an agricultural discipline Please note: Candidates with less experience, but with proven outstanding performance will be considered in line with PPECB’s EE policy. Experience and Knowledge on the relevant Products and cold chain disciplines will be advantageous. Operational planning and organizing skills. Good communication skills and a team player. Excellent customer service skills. Proven track record of taking ownership enabled by responsible and accountable behaviour. A valid code 08 driving license and own reliable vehicle will be a requirement for doing the job. The Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) is an independent service provider of quality certification and cold chain management services for South African producers and exporters of perishable food products. Established in 1926, the PPECB has delivered valuable services to the perishable products industry for over 90 years by enhancing the credibility of the South African export certificate and supporting the export competitiveness of South Africa's perishable product industries.
