JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Junior Instrumentation and IoT Technician to support our IoT Specialist and technical operations team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to build experience in IoT systems, instrumentation, and technical service delivery. You will help with calibration, monitoring, product prep, and system support tasks across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical diploma or current student in instrumentation, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related technical field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, labs, or co-op placements are welcome).
  • Familiarity with temperature/humidity monitoring or sensors is a plus.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning monitoring systems or software.
  • Organized, detail-focused, and proactive.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Perform temperature and humidity calibrations of measurement instruments under supervision.
  • Prepare and configure data loggers for temperature mapping projects.
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and maintenance of monitoring hardware and sensors.
  • Oversee system performance via the UNI°COLD monitoring platform, report alerts or abnormal readings.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
  • Document calibration work, maintain records, and ensure logs are up to date.
  • Ship products, including calibrated instruments and customer orders, as needed.
  • Perform monthly inventory checks, reporting equipment and stock levels to the team.
  • Help organize and maintain the instrumentation workspace, tools, and calibration equipment.
  • Assist and perform on-site installations or service visits alongside supervisor.
  • Ensure all tasks follow Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and company standards.
  • Support various teams across CCSE as needed by completing general or ad hoc tasks, such as assisting with packing, receiving goods, data entry, equipment prep, or other projects.
