JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a passionate Junior Interior Designer to join our growing team! This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their interior design career who’s eager to gain hands-on experience in residential design while working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • 0–2 years of experience in residential interior design
  • Proficiency in: SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-shifting environment
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build strong client relationships
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regional travel
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move furnishings, materials, and design products as needed

BONUS SKILLS (NOT REQUIRED)

  • Familiarity with Canva and Notion
  • Prior internship or freelance experience in interior design

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hybrid position, primarily remote, but with regular in-person client meetings, and site visits across the greater Portland/Vancouver metro area. Occasional in-person team meetings will be required across the greater Portland/Vancouver metro area. Travel will be required to locations including Newberg, Beaverton, Gresham, and Battle Ground, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll assist with:

  • Space planning and layout development
  • Sourcing furnishings, materials, fixtures and finishes
  • Creating design presentations
  • Design documentation for projects, including 3D renderings, CD sets with floor plans, interior elevations, RCPs, and creating and maintaining spec sheets
  • Attending site visits, installations, and client meetings
  • Coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal team members
