Job Description Position Overview We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Auditor to join our Internal Audit Department. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals interested in cybersecurity, IT governance, and digital risk assessment. You will support IT audit professionals in evaluating technology-related controls, identifying security gaps, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. As part of the IT Audit team, you will be introduced to audit methodologies, information security frameworks, and regulatory standards. You will also gain experience working with enterprise IT systems and contribute to the evaluation of key IT processes including access control, data protection, and system change management. Key Responsibilities - Assist in planning and executing IT audit assignments under the supervision of senior auditors. - Participate in control testing, data analysis, and audit evidence collection. - Document audit procedures, findings, and results in line with internal standards. - Prepare draft audit observations. - Import and update audit project tasks and milestones in the Audit Management Software. - Support the evaluation of IT General Controls (ITGC) related to user access, change management, backup, and incident management. - Conduct initial research on best practices and regulatory frameworks. - Attend walkthrough meetings and interviews with IT, cybersecurity, and risk stakeholders. - Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and understand technical processes. - Support the tracking of audit issues, recommendations, and remediation plans. - Receive mentorship from experienced auditors and cybersecurity professionals. - Demonstrate enthusiasm for continuous learning and interest in obtaining industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISA, ISO 27001 LA, CompTIA Security+, CC – Associate level). Qualifications Qualifications Technical Skills - Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business Informatics, or a related field, or an individual with relevant work experience in IT or Information Security - Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems, and databases. - Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and data protection concepts. - Understanding of IT risk and control frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL, COBIT, GDPR) is a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Ability to read basic system documentation and process flows. Soft Skills - Good communication and teamwork abilities. - Good analytical and research skills. - Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. - Good verbal and written communications skills in English. -Strong motivation for personal and career development in the field of IT Audit and Information Security. Nice to Have - Participation in university cybersecurity clubs, IT competitions, or hackathons. - Previous internship or coursework in auditing, IT, or information security. - Completed learning course related to Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT Audit or relevant field.
