Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The candidate will support cloud security, IT compliance, and FISMA documentation efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting IT security audits, assessments, or compliance efforts.
  • Familiarity with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Basic understanding of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, or other federal cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and take direction from senior staff.
  • Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the U.S. with ability to pass Public Trust clearance.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Hands-on experience assisting with vulnerability scans, SIEM tools, or compliance documentation.
  • Exposure to System Security Plan (SSP) development or review.
  • Experience supporting a federal agency or contractor environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in reviewing cloud security architectures for compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
  • Support implementation and documentation of cloud security controls across services such as VMs, databases, and storage.
  • Help conduct cloud vulnerability scans, analyze results, and track remediation actions.
  • Contribute to cloud log monitoring, SIEM integration, and incident response activities.
  • Assist with preparing for IT security audits and assessments by collecting system data and reviewing documentation.
  • Support technical configuration reviews and help analyze findings.
  • Contribute to audit reporting and remediation tracking under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Help gather system inventories, interconnections, and documentation to support current-state analysis.
  • Assist in updating System Security Plans (SSPs) and related artifacts during boundary consolidation efforts.
  • Provide logistical and documentation support during system migrations and audit readiness activities.
