Job Description This is an office-based position in Durham, NC We are looking for professional, qualified and enthusiastic candidates to take up a full-time position of a Jr. IT Systems Administrator to provide daily technical support. The scope of responsibilities will include: Supervised responsibility for troubleshooting and diagnosing desktop computer systems and peripheral equipment problems Supervised responsibility for IT support operations, including but not limited to receiving and tracking user requests, assigning priority and responsible persons, resolving requests and users’ notification Shared responsibility for installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of desktop computer systems and peripherals (e.g., network cards, printers, modems, mice, add-in boards, copiers, etc.) Supervised responsibility for asset management of desktop computer systems (hardware and software inventories, licensing, systems decommissioning, etc.) Is responsible for documentation of system problems and resolutions Assists with providing basic IT training to PSI staff, at the discretion of Training & Resourcing Qualifications College Degree preferably in Computer Science or a related field At least 1+ years of experience in IT Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) training is a plus Related experience in systems and network administration Knowledge of basic systems administration tools and processes Additional Information If you feel it is time to make your skills and knowledge visible within a growing company with true focus on its people, then this is the right choice for you.
