Today, we are looking for our newest Java Backend Engineer colleague who would work remotely or from the Budapest office. We are looking for someone who will contribute to the development of a cloud-native document management system used by millions all over the world. This role will suit you if you enjoy writing Java code and want to learn how to do it professionally. want to learn from the best Google Cloud (GCP) experts in the region. are curious about how large-scale cloud applications work. are proactive and not afraid to ask questions when you get stuck. You will be responsible for Learning the platform and our tech stack with the help of a mentor. Writing and maintaining backend code for our document management system. Helping the team build new features using Java and Google Cloud. Making sure your code works well by writing tests and participating in code reviews. What you should bring: Solid knowledge of Java (from university, internships, or personal projects). A firm grasp of OOP principles and a clean-code mindset. Familiarity with Version Control Systems (preferably Git). Basic understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL). An analytical mindset and a systematic approach to problem-solving. Good communication skills in Hungarian and English, as we work in an international environment. Bonus points if you have Tried any Cloud PaaS platform before (like Google App Engine). Familiarity with Microservices architecture. Experience in an international environment (e.g., Erasmus or internships). A pet project you’ve built from scratch – we’d love to see it! Responsibilities

The Junior Java Backend Engineer will learn the platform and tech stack with a mentor, write and maintain backend code for a document management system, and help build new features using Java and Google Cloud. They will also ensure code quality through testing and participation in code reviews.
