Our Stewardship and Renewal Group (SRG) is seeking a Junior Supervisor to support a Job Supervisor in the decommissioning of facilities at CRL.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for reinforcing safe work practices, addressing performance and time management issues on-site, and ensuring that all records, paperwork, and procedures are completed. You’ll provide planning, oversight, and support for routine and non-routine activities, ensuring the facilities’ structures and systems are well-maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in maintaining a Supervisor Log of daily fieldwork notes
  • Participating in the IWC process to support the development of work plans and strategies
  • Reviewing and commenting (R&C) on various documents
  • Supporting the supervisor in accounting for staff during emergencies
  • Responding to calls outside business hours and resolving emergency situations
  • Working with Trades, Projects, Radiation Protection, and other support groups to resolve issues and maintain a safe path forward for work execution
  • Supporting the supervisor in supervising and delegating work to team members (up to 20 staff)
  • Acting as Job Lead for various activities in the field across multiple areas of a job site
  • Supporting the supervisor in managing job sites, including perimeter barriers, signage, staff work practices, traffic and pedestrian control, and maintaining full compliance with facility standards
  • Supporting and/or leading Plan of Day (POD) meetings with teams, ensuring pre- and post-job briefs are completed
  • Supporting the development and implementation of training programs
  • Leading and/or assisting in conducting interviews, setting goals, performance management, career development, and handling disciplinary and promotion actions for assigned staff
  • Supporting the supervisor in authorizing timesheets, leave approvals, vacation, and overtime
  • Providing coaching as needed
  • Ensuring adherence to fieldwork plans and permits, including hold points and sign-offs before proceeding
  • Performing other duties as assigned by your manager
