QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or stewarding role is preferred but not essential.
• Basic food safety training certificate is preferred.
• Able to communicate in English.

Daughter and Dad is a family-run specialty coffee shop serving vegetarian and vegan comfort food alongside exceptional coffee. We are a small, close-knit team committed to delivering high standards in both food and service. We are currently seeking a Junior Kitchen Steward to support our kitchen operations with cleaning, basic food prep, and hygiene management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the kitchen, equipment, utensils, and work surfaces are cleaned and sanitised to a high standard at all times.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries safely and correctly.
• Support the Head Chef with basic food preparation (e.g. chopping vegetables, portioning, plating during service).
• Handle dishwashing duties, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and kitchenware are properly cleaned and stored.
• Dispose of waste correctly and help maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout the day.
• Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including daily cleaning checklists.
• Maintain a positive, respectful working relationship with team members and contribute to a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
