Description

Are you a motivated university graduate with strong analytical skills, or have you successfully completed your banking training and are now looking to take the next step in your career? Ideally, you have initial practical experience in credit analysis, think in a solution-oriented manner, and enjoy direct communication with partners and internal and external stakeholders? Then we are looking for you to strengthen our team as a Junior Credit Analyst (m/f/d) !

•     Credit Review & Voting: You review prepared credit decision templates, independently assess creditworthiness based on current financial data and qualitative factors, and prepare well-founded recommendations for the back office.

•     Balance Sheet Analysis: You independently analyze the annual financial statements of our corporate clients.

•     Collateralization & Risk Management: You independently develop proposals for collateralizing loan commitments, process these proposals, and initiate targeted measures to mitigate credit default risks by analyzing trends.

•     Decision-Making Authority: You will receive intensive training to gradually assume your own credit decision-making authority.

•     Interfaces & Communication: You maintain a constant exchange of information with internal and external parties (e.g., regional offices, tax advisors, credit committee) and actively participate in dealer and customer meetings.

•     Process support & follow-up: You are responsible for independently following up on the review of documents required for loan approvals (including balance sheets, contracts, collateral, and conditions) and support the initiation and modification of contractual relationships.

•     Reporting: You create and maintain various reports in the loan area and support the team with cover tasks.

•    Education & Qualifications: A successfully completed university degree in business administration (ideally with a focus on finance, banking, or economics) OR a successfully completed apprenticeship as a bank clerk.

•    Professional Experience: Initial relevant professional experience (approx. 1 year), for example through internships, working student positions, or a first position after training in the credit sector (wholesale or retail business), is advantageous. Dedicated career starters are also very welcome!

•    Expertise: Initial exposure to the common legal regulations in the credit business (e.g., MaRisk, KWG, commercial and insolvency law) is a plus, but not mandatory – we will provide you with intensive training.

•    Personality & Work Style: High level of initiative, a structured and independent work style, and strong teamwork skills.

•    Communication: A confident manner, assertiveness, and negotiation skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders (such as dealers and tax advisors).

•    Language & IT Skills: Excellent German and fluent English, both written and spoken. Proficient use of MS Office (especially Excel) is required; you must be willing to quickly familiarize yourself with our specific Ford Bank systems.

This role requires a presence in our offices in Cologne Niehl four days a week.

What we offer you: An innovative environment in a globally operating company - International collaboration and exciting challenges - Flexible working models & development opportunities - A culture of diversity and equal opportunities.

Ford is committed to diversity and equal opportunities for all and opposes any form of discrimination or harassment based on gender, marital status, civil partnership, parental status, ethnic origin, skin color, nationality, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, religion/belief, gender reassignment and gender identity, age and persons with caregiving responsibilities.
