DESCRIPTION
The Junior Laboratory Associate will work with the project PI and project staff to assist in lab and home data collection, spreadsheet design and video annotation, visualizations, and analyses. The Junior Laboratory Associate will also assist with organization and management of video files and related annotation spreadsheets and questionnaires and with supervision of undergraduates. Research duties include but are not limited to: participant recruitment, data collection in lab and participants’ homes, annotation of video data in Datavyu, data visualization and analyses, quality assurance and inter-observer reliability, updating databases of data tracking and sharing in Databrary, and assistance in disseminating research findings in presentations and publications.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,656-$60,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include a BA/BS in psychology or a related field, previous experience working in a research setting with infants and children, experience in video annotation using Datavyu, and experience with video sharing using Databrary. The ideal candidate must also have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
