JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and creative JUNIOR Lighting Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lighting design and a passion for creating innovative lighting solutions for various projects. This role involves collaborating with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to develop lighting concepts that enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of spaces. The Lighting Designer will be responsible for producing detailed designs, schematics, and documentation to ensure successful project execution.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in lighting design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of CAD principles, system design, drafting techniques, and construction documentation.
• Experience in graphic design or interior design is a plus.
• Familiarity with mechanical design concepts is advantageous.
• Ability to create 2D animations or visualizations to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Collaborate with project teams to conceptualize and develop lighting designs that meet client needs and project specifications.
• Utilize software tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, and Grasshopper 3D to create detailed lighting plans and renderings.
• Prepare schematics and drafting documents for installation and construction purposes.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather information for design development.
• Work closely with electrical engineers and contractors to ensure designs are feasible and comply with industry standards.
• Present design concepts to clients, incorporating feedback into final designs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in lighting design.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines while ensuring adherence to project schedules.
