Description:
1. Participate and provide technical input on facility systems for long-term strategic system
planning as well as individual project validation, planning and programming.
2. Develop life cycle analysis and feasibility studies for facilities to include use/occupancy,
O&M, and energy cost.
3. Review mechanical and electrical systems’ Operations and Maintenance Instructions
(OMI) and Preventive Maintenance Instructions (PMI) for safety, maintenance, and
technical accuracy.
4. Provide technical input on recommended maintenance tasks and frequency intervals.
5. Participate and provide technical input on mechanical and electrical systems to review
boards and working groups.
6. Review design packages and perform studies for sustainability and maintainability of
facility systems and provide comments/redlines.
7. Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) field audits for mechanical and electrical to verify
work is being performed as outlined on the PM work order, proper Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) is being worn, and discrepancies are being noted.
8. Participate in the investigation of mechanical and electrical system anomalies.
9. Participate in mechanical and electrical systems spare parts inventories, report and track
discrepancies.
10. Provide support to Government Mishap Investigation Boards as identified by NASA.
11. Review associated Engineering Orders (EOs) on mechanical and electrical systems for
accuracy and compliance with respective codes.
12. Participate in various support contracts meetings and readiness reviews.
13. Review and evaluate the maintenance plans developed by the base operations contractor
regarding Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) practices including Predictive Testing
and Inspections (PT&I) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) for all assigned KSC facility
systems.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years’ experience in inspection services; OR vocational/technical or military certification and 8 years’ experience in inspection services; OR High School Diploma and 12 years’ experience in inspection services
