Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Woking based Finance Team are true business partners, the backbone of making sure our business runs smoothly from finance perspective and vital to our success.
Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, the Junior Management Accountant is an important position within the Finance team and is responsible in the delivery of complete, accurate and timely management and financial accounting information to support monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting to the business and parent company. This role is ideal for a bright enthusiastic trainee accounting working towards gaining their ACA/ACCA/CIMA and includes a generous study package.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Own and manage the end-to-end accounting process for reporting various elements of the P&L.
  • Ensure that all monthly balance sheet reconciliations are understood, completed, and reviewed each period and that any queried items are actioned on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that the relevant Sarbanes Oxley requirements are complied with and that all relevant internal controls and processes are documented, centrally stored, and properly carried out.
  • Partner with finance colleagues and the key business stakeholders to ensure delivery of accurate and timely results.
  • Produce monthly journals and prepare clearing supporting working files.
  • Partner with the FP&A Team & Commercial Finance Team to improve reporting, provide better visibility and help to analyse and explain variances to forecast.
  • Provide variance analysis on P&L and BS movements MoM and YoY.
  • Ensuring appropriate processes are in place and fully documented.
  • Assist with the preparation of Landlord Revenue Share Statements and other Landlord reporting.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager to identify, develop and implement improvements.
  • Other ad hoc reporting as required.
