Located in our state-of-the-art 53,000 square foot facility built in 2020, we employ 45 people in administrative, technical, and production roles.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We’re looking for an experienced In-Office Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of handrail installation projects from start to finish. You will work closely with clients, contractors, fabricators, installers, and internal teams to ensure projects are fabricated and delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Candidate must be a self starter, multitasker, and work independently in a fast paced work environment. Position reports to company executives and owner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in metal fabrication and/or construction project management experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of reading and interpreting construction documents, blue prints, specifications, and building code requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, latest version of Auto-Cad, Procore or similar. Knowledge of Tekla Structures, Advance Steel by Autodesk, and/or PlanSwift estimating software are beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and ensure strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor construction site progress and coordinate with customers and contractors to resolve issues and maintain timelines.
  • Oversee the in-house drafting department to ensure the accurate and timely development of shop drawings.
  • Manage field measuring activities to guarantee precise fabrication and installation.
  • Coordinate the timely release of materials to the shop for fabrication based on project scheduling.
  • Oversee submittal and approval processes and ensure all documentation is properly reviewed and authorized.
  • Work closely with customers to manage expectations, schedules, and project milestones.
  • Order raw materials in alignment with production requirements and lead times.
  • Collaborate with the production team on technical aspects of design and fabrication, from concept through production.
  • Troubleshoot to resolve project-related issues, including delays, material shortages, or design changes.
  • Manage engineering requirements, including working with outside professional engineers for preliminary reviews and signed/sealed calculations.
  • Review and approve project billing to ensure alignment with progress and contractual terms.
  • Prepare construction sketches to support project planning.
