We are a market leader in oil and gas processing specializing in facilities design, implementation and operational assistance for natural gas, conventional oil, heavy oil, carbon capture and pipeline projects. Our clients include several of the largest oil and gas producers in Canada and worldwide.
SUMMARY:
The Junior Mechanical Engineer will support mechanical engineering activities on various oil and gas projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the energy sector while contributing to innovative and impactful projects.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Successful candidate should be registered as an Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) with APEGA (or be eligible for registration).
- 0-4 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering (EPCM or Oil and Gas experience is an asset but not necessary).
- Located in Calgary, Alberta. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the specification and selection of oil and gas processing equipment, including, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers.
- Support the preparation of engineering scope of work packages and procurement documents, equipment lists, technical reports and technical bid evaluations.
- Work with vendors to obtain technical information and review equipment specifications for compliance with project standards.
- Provide input on technical solutions to resolve design and operational challenges.
- Assist with maintaining project schedules and budgets for mechanical deliverables.
- Interface with the other engineering disciplines to ensure a coordinated design.
- Check vendor equipment drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance with specifications
