Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Junior Mechanical Engineer for a company in the Greater Monroe, WA area. This is a full-time / permanent position. We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated individual to perform a variety of engineering tasks, including designing, modeling, analyzing, testing, problem resolution, and constructing. Pay is $35 to $45 per hour. Enjoy four 10-hour day shifts with a 3-day weekend every week!

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform a variety of engineering work in designing, modeling, analyzing, testing, problem resolution, and constructing. May recommend and/or develop improvements to existing products, processes, and testing methods. Work primarily involves the design, development, or improvement of actual products or manufacturing capability. Assist higher-level engineers in the completion of tasks, analysis, and validation of design, and feasibility studies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Strong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with people at all levels of the organization.
• Effective computer skills, including MS Office.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work effectively with a team.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience in one or more technical disciplines, including rubber, fabrication, forming, coatings, castings, or machining.

• With oversight and direction, work on simple assemblies or tasks in support of larger engineering projects.
• Help to resolve production issues with guidance.
• Perform assigned research and development tasks on new products.
• Test and validate data, systems, or products under supervision.
• Create documentation and perform follow-up audits to support quality expectations.
• Establish production procedures, work instructions, QA matrices, and bills of materials with oversight.
• Meet all company work schedule and attendance expectations and perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job.
