Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, execution, and supervision of mechanical works in mining infrastructure projects. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in equipment installation, industrial systems, and site development within a safety-critical and multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities: Assist in reviewing mechanical design drawings and technical specifications. Support the installation of equipment, piping systems, ventilation, and other mechanical components. Collaborate with senior engineers and construction teams to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Participate in inspections, technical documentation, and reporting of mechanical works. Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, electrical, environmental) to resolve site-related issues. Learn and apply relevant codes and standards for industrial and mining construction. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction projects (preferably in mining or heavy industry). Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices. Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office; exposure to project management tools is a plus. Fluent in English preferred. Desired Attributes: Eagerness to learn and grow in a field-based engineering role.
