We provide high-quality plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, fire protection and specialty piping services. We work closely with our clients to manage and implement projects from conception to handover and value strong relationships and collaboration. ​

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–2 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in mechanical trades.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems and construction drawings.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Trimble, Accubid) is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Estimator to join our estimating team. In this role, you will assist in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical systems in construction and renovation projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other mechanical systems based on drawings, specifications, and site visits.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material/labour pricing using estimating software and Excel.
• Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and quotes.
• Support the development of tender proposals and bid submissions.
• Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost data.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and senior estimators to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as required.
• Track changes and updates to drawings and specifications during the tender process.
