ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role in the team will be solving incidents (as first time fix) and if you can solve the incident by yourself you will dispatch the incident to the correct solving team (as first time right). If no first time fix or first time right is possible, analyse the incident why this was not possible and update the knowledge database for future incidents.

  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure consumable standardized infrastructure services are resilient, high quality, highly automated, and up-to-date. Automate all repetitive or error-prone operational activities.
  • Incident Analysis: Deliver structural solutions and support consumers in using standardized infrastructure services.
  • DevOps Practices: Implement user stories from the backlog, participate in DevOps rituals, and continuously improve yourself, your squad, and the service.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identify service improvements, actively seek feedback and coaching, and provide feedback to squad members to avoid waste.
  • Collaboration: Understand services end-to-end and work closely with team members

As an Ops Engineer, you are the Extra Pair of Eyes (24/7), ensuring all our IT services are available for our customers and internal users. You will be working from our office in Rotterdam (or hybrid). This position includes night shifts, late shifts, and weekend duties.

  • Incident Management: As an Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring incidents are picked up in time and dispatched to the responsible teams. You will be in contact with various teams working globally, as the client serves customers and internal users worldwide. You will identify and analyse problems and take the lead in solving incidents. You continuously strive to improve yourself and your colleagues in the DevOps way of working.
  • Infrastructure Services: You have a broad and diverse set of competencies that allow you to operate, maintain, and test standardized and highly automated infrastructure services. You aim to automate as much of the operating and maintenance work as possible
