Junior - Mid Weight Designer

Soft Launch is growing and we’re looking for a Junior - Mid Weight Designer (2+ Years Experience in a full time role) to join our team.

We’re a Sydney based Brand Agency, made up of a small team of four. We work out of our Inner West office and spend most of our days designing brands, collateral, signage, websites and socials for bars and restaurants around Australia.

We are seeking a designer, who loves food and hospitality as much as we do. Someone that has a couple of years experience in a workplace.

This position is flexible, just like us. We’re hoping for someone part-time (4 days). Starting immediately.

Roles & Responsibilities include:

♡Creating polished brand packages and presentations that bring our senior designers’ concepts to life and get them client-ready.

♡ Designing for Australia's most love food brands (We're talking Pepe Saya, Zeus Street Greek, Olsson's Salt, The Powerhouse Museum)

♡ Designing websites / building on SquareSpace and Shopify (let me know in your cover letter if you have any web skills pretty please!).

♡ Setting up, sending out + designing assets for the the weekly newsletters across both businesses.

♡ Bringing our SMM manager's ideas to life in video + static instagram posts.

♡ All team members get their hands dirty with scheduling posts, packaging illustrations and merch for Georgia Draws A House.

Your role will happily swing between working on Soft Launch clients and Georgia Draws A House clients. Confused? Come have a coffee and I’ll explain the ins and outs of the business(es)!

Things we’d like to see:

• Ability to work autonomously, receive and digest client briefs in order to see a task from start to finish.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite
• Illustration Skills (not necessary, just a bonus!)
• Familiar with Squarespace or Shopify (again, not necessary but just a bonus!)
• Previous design work for hospitality or food brands
• Confident with Canva (I know, sadly we have to use this for clients on occasion)

Salary based on experience, starting immediately.
