Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a motivated and analytically driven Open Architecture (OA) Mission Systems Analyst to support an advanced air platform program focused on achieving and sustaining national air dominance. As part of MTSI’s commitment to delivering innovative engineering services and technology solutions, this role will support mission engineering, modeling and simulation, and data-driven analysis efforts that inform mission systems architecture and investment decisions. This position is well suited for an early-career engineer or analyst interested in mission systems, modeling and simulation, and open architecture concepts supporting complex, mission-critical environments. Responsibilities Support Mission Systems Mission Increment Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) by analyzing Mission Threads and Mission Engineering Threads from a mission systems perspective Assist in development of mission systems architectural recommendations informed by Return on Investment (RoI) and trade study analysis Support modeling and simulation efforts, including simulation environment architecture development and model development and integration Assist with integration and analysis of models representing aircraft systems, mission systems, armament, and complex battlespace environments Support development of standard simulation interfaces and coordination with simulation, analysis, and flight simulator development teams Scope and support operations analysis studies to inform mission capability development and decision making Build mission vignettes and scenarios within modeling and simulation environments such as AFSIM, NGTS, or similar frameworks Develop scripts and analytical tools as required for data reduction, post-processing, and analysis Communicate analytical results and findings to internal and external stakeholders to support technical and programmatic decisions Support Government and industry teams through technical planning, design reviews, test reviews, and technical assessments Develop and support technical briefings for a range of audiences, including senior technical and leadership stakeholders Support mission capability development across all phases of acquisition, including Technology Maturation, Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD), Production, and Test Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline 2+ years of experience supporting systems engineering, mission analysis, modeling and simulation, operations analysis, or related analytical efforts Familiarity with mission systems concepts, systems engineering fundamentals, or modeling and simulation methodologies Experience or coursework involving data analysis, scripting, or technical modeling (academic or professional) Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly Demonstrated willingness to learn, operate in a dynamic environment, and solve complex mission-focused problems Desired Experience using modeling and simulation frameworks such as AFSIM, NGTS, or similar environments Familiarity with mission thread analysis, mission engineering concepts, or systems-of-systems analysis Exposure to model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies or tools such as Cameo Familiarity with Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) or open architecture concepts Familiarity with agile development tools such as the Atlassian Suite Clearance and Travel Requirements: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Situational telework only TDY travel approximately 20 percent (about one trip per month) #LI-ZS1 #ONSITE #Dragons #Rudy #YellowHammer
