Danone Italy is looking for a motivated and passionate Junior Operations Controller to join our team. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with different business functions, including the Regional team (in English only) and the Greek controlling team (English only)
  • Proficient English
  • Proactivity and desire to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities
  • Monthly closing of material costs and logistics costs: Analyse and explain the main variations compared to reference scenarios (previous year, last forecast, etc.), using variance models to calculate mix and price effects.
  • Official group reporting: Collaborate with local Italian supply chain team, Greek controlling team and Europe Finance Operations team to ensure alignment during the reporting process.
  • Internal monthly forecast: Review assumptions of product and logistics costs based on the latest information and volumes available and update BI tool accordingly; map risks and opportunities versus the main scenario and explain variances versus the previous forecast and or previous year.
  • Rolling forecast: Officially update the forecast of product and logistics costs, after aligning it with local Supply chain, following Europe finance Operations instruction; be able to explain variances and to properly report in the official reporting tool;
  • Business case: Support category controllers in the innovation P&L definition by providing estimated logistic costs and product costs.
  • Tool usage: Essbase/Hyperion Planning, SAP, Power BI.
