EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent and one to two years of experience, preferably in municipal operations; or an equivalent combination of education, experiences and licenses.
Must obtain a Grade 4 Massachusetts Wastewater Treatment full operator’s License within two years of employment or will be subject to termination.
Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILLS
Employee must have mechanical and tool skills and must be familiar with engines, mechanical and electrical systems. Must have attention to detail. Must be able to work with others, vendors, customers and the public.
PHYSICAL SKILLS
Administrative work is performed in an office setting requiring sitting, standing, walking. When in the field, requires agility and physical strength, such as moving in or about construction sites or over rough terrain, or standing or walking most of the work period. Work requires lifting heavy objects and carrying them, typically between 50-100 pounds.
MOTOR SKILLS
Duties involve assignments requiring application of hand and eye coordination with finger dexterity and motor coordination.
VISUAL SKILLS
Visual demands require routinely reading documents for general understanding and analytical purposes.
