OVERVIEW

Commercial Truck Equipment is looking to add a Full-Time Permanent Junior Parts Person to our Delta, BC Parts and Procurement team.
The Junior Parts Person will play a vital role in supporting the Parts Team, Production and Operations. Reporting to the Parts Manager, the successful candidate will be a well-organized problem solver with a minimum 1-2 years of experience in parts and/or parts purchasing/procurement roles.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and hit the ground running. We will consider candidates from all backgrounds and industries, providing familiarization and training for the right candidate.

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ purchasing/procurement experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Forklift ticket an asset

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Parts Counter, and other members of the Parts Team and Shipping/Receiving.
  • Maintain the parts room and inventory stock levels, including production parts, shop supplies and consumables.
  • Obtain price quotes and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
  • Manage all aspects of the purchase, from requisition to delivery; follow-up with suppliers on any/all issues in a timely manner.
