Join WSP’s Process and Mine Infrastructure Design team as a Junior Pipeline Engineer, based in Montréal, QC. In this role, you’ll support mining and industrial clients by contributing to the planning and design of pipeline transportation systems that move critical resources safely and efficiently. This opportunity is ideal for an early‑career engineer looking to build a strong technical foundation while collaborating with experienced engineers on meaningful projects that support sustainable mining operations and water management solutions across Canada and beyond. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your Impact * Support the design of pipeline systems for mineral concentrate slurries, tailings, paste tailings, and water infrastructure. * Perform pipe sizing and friction loss calculations to support safe and efficient system design. * Assist with the specification and sizing of pumps, valves, hydrocyclones, and related process equipment. * Contribute to pipeline routing studies and constructability reviews. * Prepare technical documentation including calculations, data sheets, and design reports. * Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Skills That Set You Apart * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. * Eligibility for registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). * Co‑op or internship experience in an industrial, mining, or consulting environment (an asset). * Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for engineering calculations and analysis. * Experience using AutoCAD for engineering layouts and drawings. * Strong interest in pipeline, process, and mine infrastructure systems. * Bilingual (English and French), capable of engaging with stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why Choose WSP?
