Working closely with the Ecom and Buying teams, you will be responsible for the planning, trading and management of inventory across the American Eagle and Aerie brands. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Junior Planner who wants to join a growing team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years’ experience in fashion retail planning
• Passionate about product with strong brand awareness
• Advanced planning and analytical skills
• Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel
• Results driven with sound commercial acumen
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, action-oriented approach
• Passion for the brand with a strong understanding of the demands of our customer
• Highly motivated and a desire to be the best with proven ability to work well as a team
• Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace with loyalty and commitment to the business.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

• In-Season inventory management with pricing and promotions analysis, margin projections, and clearance liquidation strategies.
• Analyse current trends as well as historical performance to develop strategies to maximize productivity and profitability of inventory.
• Develop item level sales and inventory plans by week and by channel to maximize sales and profitability for designated area(s) of responsibility.
• Ensure inventory targets support sales and align with brand inventory principles.
• Develop and execute allocation strategies for long-life, seasonal and fashion product that support omni-channel sales and inventory goals
• Own top-down sales and inventory plans. Analyse performance by channel and by store within region and provide guidance on opportunities at department level.
• Complete size level/GMROI analysis to drive size offering decisions that aligns with total sales/inventory goals
• Pro-actively identify and communicate areas of opportunity/risk to leadership and cross-functional team. Provide clear summary of analysis and recommended actions with focus on inventory management to drive sales and profitability.
• Work with buying team and stores to manage store allocations and seasonal stock set up
• Manage logistics process to ensure stock is delivered on time
• Active participant in ad-hoc analysis and seasonal hindsight.
• Operations and IT Support as needed.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for management.
