Description

Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) and Johanson Dielectrics Inc. (JDI) are looking for a Junior Process Engineer Technician in our Camarillo, CA location. This role will assist process and product development. Work will be both computer-based and hands-on developing, prototyping, and implementing new and improved processes.
Hourly Rate (Non-Exempt): $23.00 - $28.00 DOE

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to support medium to high volume manufacturing while making substantial improvements to Yield and Quality of new products and ramping from Pilot to volume manufacturing.
  • One (1)+ year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two (2)+ years of experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Familiar with CNC programming and 3D printing technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Project, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s in Science emphasis in Engineering (Ceramics, Materials, Chemical, etc.)
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities
  • 2D and 3D) CAD design for CNC and laser machining, circuit boards, and silk-screen artwork.
  • Solidworks / Autocad Fusion for 3D printing (filament and resin) and rapid prototyping.
  • Programming including Python and GCODE for CNC machining.
  • Aptitude understanding, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical systems.
  • Generate applicable process documentation, testing, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Conduct design of experiments (D.O.E) to improve process capability and repeatability.
  • Prepare data and reports summarizing findings and recommend solutions to technical problems.
  • Understand the product/process flow and required equipment.
  • Recognize factors involved in process performance.
  • Perform in-process experiments (hands on) including operation of equipment.
  • Creating process controls and train personnel in their use.
  • Monitor Process Performance.
  • Occasional introduction to:
  • Generate technical reports and present findings to a diverse team.
  • Working with quality organization providing MRB disposition.Author specifications and procedures.
