JUNIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER

    Act as the primary design support for the SAXX Product Creation team, helping to drive the process side of art creation. This position partners in bringing to life, new apparel, print and graphic concepts to meet the needs of the SAXX consumer, helping to guide and define the SAXX brand in the marketplace and resulting in sales and growth for the company. Output includes organization and management of CAD and color support, strike-off and lab-dip approvals, prepping production-ready files, and colorations of any assigned prints & patterns seasonally.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors/Associates Degree in a relevant field or demonstrable equivalent skill level (1-2 years as a Jr. Designer) in Apparel, Textile and/or Graphic Design.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates your design acumen.
  • Equal parts creative and organized.

Software Requirements:

  • Mandatory: Creative Suite (Photoshop/Indesign/Illustrator, Microsoft Office)
  • PLM experience a plus – i.e. Centric
  • Bonus: Procreate, 3D Software.

Responsibilities
  • Under Design Team’s guidance help build and maintain color palettes for all product categories.
  • Support the building of spec sheets and repeat patterns.
  • Support PLM/Strike-Off/Lab-Dip process within Centric.
  • Sharepoint data and file organization management.
  • Photo sample review process and approvals.
  • Participate in all aspects of seasonal design, as assigned.
  • Develop colorway options for products, trims and prints, as assigned.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and responsibilities to meet the needs of a changing business.
  • Take ownership of your work and meet deadlines. Think and operate independently, clearly communicate, problem solve and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a professional manner and implement changes to your work/process/attitude as needed.
  • Design SAXX-relevant prints, patterns, and graphics as needed.
