Position Title: Technical Product Analyst (Contractor)
Duration: 3 Months with possibility of extension
Location: Hybrid: 2 days onsite in Buckhead, GA

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Product Owner to help define and drive the development of a custom software solution – an internal order management system. This role will work on the Product Management team to own the product backlog for specific workstreams, write stories, guide the team on priorities, and help bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders. One key workstream this role will be responsible is for the development of a mobile app for field techs, and some experience in mobile design, development, or product ownership is necessary.
The ideal candidate is an agile thinker, a strong communicator, and a collaborative problem solver who ensures that technical implementations align with business objectives and user needs. They also have a good technical foundation – with past experience as a data analyst, software developer or engineer that has recently transitioned to a Product role.
This position is for a minimum 3 months with the possibility of an extension. It requires an onsite presence in Buckhead, GA 2 days per week.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in a product owner / analyst role for a technical or software implementation, Business Analyst, or related role. Relevant experience in a technical development/engineering position may also be accepted.
  • Experience with Mobile: Design, development, or product ownership
  • Technical background: Previous experience as a data analyst, data engineer, etc. or a product analyst with strong experience with technical solutions.
  • Experience working within an Agile development framework.
  • Ability to write clear, concise user stories and define acceptance criteria for technical teams. Excellent communication skills to translate technical details into business-friendly language and vice versa.
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to structure and analyze complex technical challenges.
  • User-focused mindset with a keen ability to balance technical feasibility with business value.

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with order management or other logistics-type solutions
  • Product Analyst Training or Certificate
Responsibilities
  • Define and document requirements for technical and data-driven solutions, ensuring clarity for development & engineering teams.
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and work with Development team to define technical specifications to populate and manage the product backlog – You will partner with a business analyst, and you will provide a more technical product perspective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, data, and business stakeholders) to understand and document the work that is needed
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, supporting sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative product development.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities for process and product optimization.
