JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Junior Product Strategy Specialist, you’ll work within the eCom Product Strategy & Value Creation team—an agile, high-impact group within Nexi’s eCommerce Product & Engineering unit. You’ll support the eCommerce CPO and product leaders in shaping strategic direction, optimizing investments, and identifying new growth opportunities.
This role sits at the intersection of Product, Commercial, and Proposition teams, offering a unique vantage point to influence Nexi’s strategic agenda. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where curiosity, adaptability, and attention to detail are key.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in Payments, FinTech, or Strategy Consulting (preferably with a focus on digital payments)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to structure and interpret data
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across complex organizations
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and presenting to stakeholders

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a high-growth or international environment
  • Familiarity with the European payments landscape
  • Additional language skills (Nordic, German, or Italian)
Responsibilities

You’ll lead and contribute to a variety of strategic initiatives, including:

Strategic Analysis & Planning

  • Drive product strategy projects using data, research, and market insights
  • Identify and assess new growth opportunities and develop investment cases
  • Support the cross-functional preparation of eCommerce budget plan
  • Deliver ROI analyses for newly launched product features

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry and competitor trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Analyse strategic threats and propose mitigation strategies

Strategic storytelling

  • Prepare materials for business reviews and strategic discussions
  • Own and communicate the “story” behind our product vision and strategy

Innovation & Initiative

  • Support the organization of innovation and ideation events such as hackathons and Google Design Sprints
