Junior Production Manager

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Production Manager to assist in overseeing the production process of high-quality furniture items. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about furniture manufacturing and is eager to develop their career in production management. The Junior Production Manager will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure efficient production processes, maintain high standards of quality, and help manage day-to-day operations within the production facility.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Previous experience in a production environment, preferably in furniture manufacturing.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong understanding of production processes, materials, and quality control in furniture manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic production management software; experience with Odoo systems is a plus.
• A passion for furniture production and an eagerness to learn and grow in the industry.
• A relevant qualification in production management, engineering, or a related field is advantageous.

• Production Coordination:
• Assist in coordinating and supervising the daily production activities to ensure the efficient and timely manufacturing of furniture.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure all tasks are completed on time and according to specifications.
• Support in adjusting workflows and addressing bottlenecks to ensure smooth operations.
• Quality Assurance:
• Help ensure that all furniture items produced meet quality standards and client specifications.
• Conduct inspections throughout the production process to identify and resolve any quality issues.
• Work with the team to implement quality control procedures and rectify any defects.
• Team Support:
• Assist in leading and guiding a team of production workers, ensuring clear communication and understanding of tasks.
• Collaborate with workers to address challenges and improve productivity.
• Provide guidance and support in the training and development of junior production staff.
• Resource Management:
• Assist in managing materials and inventory to ensure that all resources are available for production without delay.
• Work with the Production Manager to track material usage and assist in ordering supplies.
• Help manage equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Production Planning:
• Support in planning production schedules and allocating resources to meet project deadlines.
• Assist in tracking production timelines and ensuring projects are completed as per the planned schedule.
• Communicate production updates to senior management, ensuring they are informed of progress, delays, or issues.
• Cost Control:
• Help monitor production costs, ensuring that operations stay within budget.
• Identify areas where cost savings can be made without compromising quality or safety.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Ensure that production processes comply with health and safety regulations.
• Support the team in maintaining a safe working environment by promoting safety standards and conducting regular safety checks.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with other departments (e.g., design, sales, procurement) to ensure smooth communication and coordination of production requirements.
• Provide regular updates on the status of ongoing projects and address any challenges with relevant stakeholders.
