Job Title: Junior Project Engineer
Job Type: Contract (12 month Rolling)
Salary: €30-€35 per Hour
Location: Dublin, Ireland

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Assist in technical design and preliminary assessments for EVCI at motorway service areas (MSAs).
  • Conduct research into EVCI and AF technologies, compiling reports and providing recommendations.
  • Analyze ESB Networks electricity grid capacity data to identify potential supply issues.
  • Review and interpret publications from ESB Networks, EirGrid, CRU, government departments, ZEVI, and the EU.
  • Support the preparation of electricity supply applications and liaise with ESB Networks.
  • Collaborate with MSA operating companies and stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in planning applications for EVCI installations and upgrades.
  • Monitor and administer operations and maintenance service contracts.
  • Draft contract correspondence and conduct compliance audits.
  • Undertake site inspections to assess conditions and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide additional technical advice as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Level 8 qualification recognized by the National Framework of Qualifications/QQI in electrical power or energy engineering, or a relevant discipline related to transportation systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience in infrastructural or energy projects.
  • Experience working on electrical/mechanical systems projects, with knowledge of infrastructure design, operation, and maintenance.

  • Analytical, numerate, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Experience in project/programme management, ideally in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
  • Full Irish driving licence.
