Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Junior Project Engineer to join our team in Harvey, WA, for a full-time position. In this role, you will work alongside and support our Project Managers in executing current projects. You will take a hands-on approach and be expected to manage a team to effectively deliver solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working alongside & supporting our Project managers on executing current projects.
  • You will take a hands-on approach with all our projects and will be expected to manage a team to effectively deliver solutions.
  • Facilitate & manage current and new projects including preparation of documents & reports.
  • Undertake safety assessments and complete necessary supporting reporting.
  • Provide input of technical design across all industries.
  • Assist in the tendering process of projects including site inspections, work procedures & documentation.
  • Provide the stakeholders with scheduled forecast & job status reports.
  • Assist in identifying process improvement projects within the business.
  • Carry out actions required for enacting improvements to the business.
  • Implementation of process improvement business strategy.
  • Accurate project costing, resourcing and forecasting.
  • Assist in the development of strategies to improve efficiencies and reliability.
  • Completion of projects in a safe manner, and within budget approvals.
  • Management of capital expenditure to agreed requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical/ Civil/ Electrical (Other engineering disciplines may be considered).
  • Previous experience/knowledge in a similar role or experience within the agriculture sector will be beneficial but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Project as a minimum).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT/ Mechanical/ Electrical or similar software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • A collaborative and open-minded approach to finding innovative solutions
