POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our Pre-Construction team. This role will support the preparation, coordination, and design review processes for plumbing and electrical projects prior to construction. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in planning, estimating, and technical documentation, working closely with senior engineers and project managers.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic understanding of plumbing and/or electrical systems in construction projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting/engineering software is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in reviewing project drawings, specifications, and design documents for plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Support the development of pre-construction plans, including layouts, material take-offs, and preliminary schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather technical information and pricing.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for project estimates and proposals.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys (as required) to collect data for design validation and planning.
  • Support compliance with building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability issues during the pre-construction phase.
  • Provide general technical support to senior engineers and project managers.
