Job Description

We are looking for a customer-facing Junior Project Manager. In addition to traditional project management responsibilities, this position will also manage the customer relationship and identify other potential revenue sources within that company. Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage the project team - Staff and supervise productive and successful 3Sharp project teams and orchestrate the appropriate mix of resources to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Work directly with the customer, obtaining and refining requirements.
  • Track financials and issues, working to resolve any blockers.
  • Build relationships within the customer organization, tactfully managing any conflicts and competing priorities.
  • Understand customer business goals and leverage customer relationships to actively pursue and close sales opportunities for new projects within their organization; help to price, sell, staff, and drive these engagements to their successful and profitable completion.

Within the first three months, we expect you to manage simple projects independently and owning your responsibilities effectively. At six months, you will be viewed internally as a trusted Project Manager who is knowledgeable about the systems and processes we work with. By a year of working here, we expect that you will be viewed as an expert externally and will be fully confident describing 3Sharp’s processes to external stakeholders.
Qualifications

Successful candidates will bring a strong customer focus, balanced with deep technical and analytical skills needed to deliver against aggressive objectives.

  • Superlative written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (internal and external facing).
  • 0-5 years of project management, preferably of IT projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including schedule and prioritization.
  • Ability to control scope, with experience in requirements-gathering and validation.
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and seek risk reduction through managing that ambiguity.
  • Strong grasp of project metrics and reporting.
  • Customer-facing experience, preferably with negotiation and relationship building.
  • Passionate and positive about quality of deliverables, customer relationships, and your team.
  • Ability to gain deep understanding of customer business goals and objectives.
  • Well-versed in gaining and retaining customer and peer influence, with true excellence in a consultative approach to work.
  • Experience supporting sales teams with proposal creation and customer engagement is also desired.

Additional Information
Salary: This is a full-time, salaried exempt position paid between $84K to $108K per year, dependent upon experience.
Benefits: 3Sharp pays 90% of employee insurance premiums (medical, dental, vision) and offers a 401(k) match. New employees accrue 4 weeks of PTO in their first year and receive 9 paid holidays.
Remote Operations & Business Hours: 3Sharp’s corporate headquarters are in Bothell, WA, but we largely function as a remote workplace. Occasional in-person meetings may be recommended by management. For this reason, we prefer applicants from Washington. Our core business hours align with Pacific Standard Time (PST) to facilitate consistent operations and teamwork.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
