Description

BaseMEL is looking for a Junior Project Manager, an organised, proactive team-player with an interest in branding, art direction and digital design.
As a Junior Project Manager at Base, you will help steer studio workflow, project planning and timelines, keep a close eye on budgets, and, most importantly, maintain alignment inside the Base team and with our clients. You’ll work under the guidance of the Account Director, learning the ropes while keeping projects on track.
At Base Design, we not only accept diversity, we celebrate it. As an equal-opportunity employer, we actively seek a wide and varied pool of applicants. We select candidates based on individual qualifications, merit, and business needs. Because we know that the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
We’re hiring full-time. We run hybrid, with Tuesday–Thursday in-studio and optional WFH on Mondays and Fridays.
If the list of qualifications in this offer doesn’t 100% to you, but you feel you have something extraordinary to add, please contact us and tell us why.

  • Familiarity with Xero, Streamtime, Monday and Google Drive (or similar tools).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive, positive, rigorous.
  • Culturally engaged and curious about the world
  • Melbourne-based with full Australian working rights.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with project planning, budgeting, timeline management and resourcing.
  • Track project progress and deliverables; flag risks early.
  • Support day-to-day communication with clients
  • Help the creative team ensure deliverables meet brief and scope.
  • Proof and review documents ahead of presentations.
  • Actively engage in the creative process from kickoff to delivery.
  • Support studio workflow, resourcing and time-tracking.
  • Contribute to proposals and basic contract admin.
  • Provide light admin support (invoicing, billing reconciliation, payroll prep).
