Calian is seeking a Junior Project Manager to assist our client with the facilitation of their project. This role includes to support a Minor Project with the Directorate of Aerospace Equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the last 6 years providing project planning and coordination management activities.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the last 6 years in providing project timelines and risks related activities.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the last 6 years in providing project budget and resources related activities.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the last 6 years in collaborating with stakeholders and other personnel which have project interdependencies.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the last 6 years in maintaining, updating, reporting financial records and managing a budget in excess of $1.5M per year.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the last 6 years using records management software such as, but not limited to, Records Document and Information Management System (RDIMS), System Application & Products (SAP) and SharePoint.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some of the area and overnight travel may be expected
  • Travel may be required to travel outside the NCR and within Canada. The locations include:

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate project management activities including financial planning and contracting aspects.
  • Provide updates to the Technical Authority (TA) on project progress and address concerns.
  • Coordinate and prepare documentation in response to scheduled and unscheduled reports, returns and observations, to provide management with updates on project progress.
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of project personnel and internal service support providers.
  • Produce draft plans and sections for incorporation into the Project Implementation Plan.
  • Prepare draft evaluation plans, criteria and evaluation schedules for the TA’s review.
  • Develop, plan, analyze, evaluate, and prioritize project deliverables and requirements.
  • Track and maintain the project budget, as well support the team’s resource requirements.
  • Plan, direct and manage the activities of the project team while adhering to established timelines and budget constraints.
  • Monitor the design and implementation processes to ensure they align with established goals, objectives, and milestones.
  • Report project progress weekly and at scheduled delivery points throughout the duration of the project.
  • As requested by the TA, meet with stakeholders and address project interdependencies by clearly articulating issues in a manner suitable for resolution.
  • Formulate and track project plans by defining deliverables, identifying key milestones, reviewing project progress, and engaging in ongoing risk management.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with project team(s) to meet project objectives for content, quality, costs, and schedules.
  • Ensure management is provided with timely and accurate project information and status updates.
  • Coordinate the drafting and preparation of formal project documents and reports for signature.
  • Perform other project management activities not listed above but normally performed by a Junior Project Manager
