Description

DESCRIPTION

Do you want to help build a company with the capacity to disrupt whole industries and take on environmental issues on a global scale?
Matter. is a Venture Capital backed CleanTech scale-up and we have an opportunity for a technically focused Junior Project Manager to drive key delivery milestones across a variety of engineering projects, from concept all the way to delivery.

ABOUT YOU

We understand that the value of people is much more than what’s written on their CV. Our recruitment process doesn’t focus on a checklist of ‘ideal’ experience and skills. On your career journey as a technically focused project manager or engineer, you will have developed a unique blend of skills and experience that might not fully match our specific list of requirements.
Please don’t let that deter you from applying!
It might be that you come from an engineering Project Management background, having successfully delivered a variety of large-scale, technically complex projects, and may have gained some experience in a batch manufacturing environment.
Alternatively, you might be an engineer who has gained production exposure with a background in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Quality or Design engineering and has had exposure to project management.

Or it could be that you are a Project Engineer or Junior Project Manager, where you will have gained meaningful delivery production experience, with exposure to engineering products, FMCG, medical, or consumer related products and looking for the next step in your career journey.

  • Strong project engineering & production management experience within an R&D engineering environment; OR
  • Experience in project management, with some of it in a technical role or exposure to production environments. (eg. operations management, manufacturing, tooling, operations or assembly design)
  • The ability to work across multi-discipline projects
  • Leadership and the ability to drive delivery and motivate the team to deliver project requirements
  • Proven experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to delivery at pace and complete projects within a set duration and budget
Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Develop and maintain project plans, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Possibly liaising with suppliers and external partners to ensure timely delivery of components and materials to manufacturing site
  • Anticipate risks and act proactively to mitigate, address or escalate them
