Description Handex is expanding and seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Remediation Services Team. This is an opportunity to support our environmental remediation team and system projects throughout New Jersey. In this role, you will assist in overseeing projects from initiation through long-term operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, scheduled performance, and financial success while delivering outstanding service to our clients. Position requires travel to client sites and our Jackson, NJ location. Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC is a full-service environmental company focused on providing professional environmental consulting, remediation, construction and sludge dewatering services in the United States. Key Responsibilities · Work closely with on-site project teams under the supervision of Project Managers, serving as a central point of contact internally and externally. · Coordinate and effectively communicate assigned project activities to ensure efficient execution, regulatory compliance, meeting on-time deliverables and Health & Safety. · Handle project administration, including permit compliance (water, wastewater, stormwater discharge, and air emissions), regulatory submittals, client approvals, and follow-up. · Interface internally and externally with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) to ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, SOPs, and environmental guidelines. · Coordinate team schedules and activities and provide follow-up to management and client. · Track project budgets and financial performance; support accurate and timely monthly client invoices. · Prepare, review, and submit technical reports with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and timeliness. · Enhance technical, project management, and professional skills through continuous development and by remaining current with industry trends and innovations. To learn more about Handex, please view our website at www.hcr-llc.com Requirements What skills are needed for success? · College degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science. · 2+ years of experience contributing to and enhancing project management in environmental services, remediation, or utility/MUA operations. · Knowledge of NJDEP regulations, compliance requirements, permitting, health & safety and environmental guidelines. · OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and TWIC card highly preferred (must obtain if hired). · Strong client-facing, interpersonal, and communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in technical writing and research. · Financial acumen with proven ability to handle budgets, bid preparation, and invoicing. · Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player capable of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders a must. · Willingness to travel to various client sites in New Jersey as needed. · Ability to successfully pass background checks, including drug/alcohol screening, DMV review, and physical examination.. Salary Range: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 (based upon on experience)
