Description

The Aeris Environmental Ltd - IEQ (Indoor Environmental Quality) Division was established in Townsville in 2019 and has since grown to be well known in Queensland.
We provide a range of IEQ services, including but not limited to, IEQ assessments, infection control consultancy and checks, microbial sampling and reporting, dust monitoring and project management of mould remediation works.
Our customers are mainly government/state departments, facility managers, medium-large builders/mechanical services companies and restoration companies.
Our small team in Townsville needs a full-time addition as a fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover), from 11th August 2025 to 30 April 2026 with potential for further scope.
The successful candidate ideally has a background in project management, experience in subcontractor management, and the ability to adapt quickly and keep up with a fast-paced environment.

  • Quoting, scoping, tendering, project preparation and management.
  • Excellent and professional communication with clients and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities

SPECIFIC CORE TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Manage mould remediation works, perform onsite sampling and data collection on commercial properties for environmental contaminants.
  • Communicate with excellence to our customers on project status.
  • Travel throughout North and Far North Queensland, with occasional interstate travel
  • Acting as an onsite representative for Aeris during projects and establishing trust and communication with clients and vendors, plus have the ability to convey project status and scientific information to clients and stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Preparation of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documentation.
  • Prepare costings, quoting, tendering and budgeting.
  • Admin responsibilities: requesting POs, filing project documents, auditing, invoicing, insurance updates, calibration, compliance, testing & tagging, etc.
  • Warehouse responsibilities: stocktakes, updating product expiries, re-stocking, organising equipment and equipment maintenance.

MACRO ROLE:

  • Conduct activities in accordance with Aeris Environmental quality, health & safety and human resources policies and procedures.
  • Promote Aeris Environmental products and future business.

INDIVIDUAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience with and broad understanding of:

  • Quoting, scoping, tendering, project preparation and management.
  • Excellent and professional communication with clients and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Mould remediation and restoration standards and methodology- including containment setup, negative pressure, infection control.

  • Ideally, candidates will have below certifications/licenses at minimum:
  • Tertiary degree in a scientific field or similar
  • IICRC certification (WRT & AMRT preferred)
  • White card
  • Unrestricted (full) driver’s license and use of a vehicle (car allowance is provided).
  • Collaboration: must be both independent and team-oriented and able to work effectively with all departments.
  • Physical Demands: work is often performed in hot, contaminated environments; must be able to carry heavy equipment and ladders, climb ladders, and work in hot environments.
  • PPE requirements: must be able to pass a medical exam to wear a respirator and other PPE.
  • Willingness to accept random or scheduled drug testing by Aeris or Aeris clients.
  • Travel: projects include travel throughout North/Far North QLD and some further travel may be expected. Project work may require staying away from home for more extended periods and flexible working hours.
  • Continual self-development in the education on national and international standards and guidelines for IEQ and Mould industry.

Job Type: Fixed term
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
