Junior Project Manager- field based Location: Field based in the Colchester area Salary: Competitive with company car Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday ________________________________________________________________________ We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the Contract Delivery Manager in the Arb Utility division at Ground Control. You will be responsible for managing the operation for an assigned programme of tree works around power lines and pylons across the Colchester area. What you’ll do: You will take responsibility for driving the programme delivery for both self, contract KPI targets and our tree cutting teams. This is a field-based role with approximately 3/4 days in the field and 1/2 days based at home. You will need a driving licence as you will be driving to rural locations on a regular basis. You will ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety, environment, quality, customer service and profitability. Drive consistency and innovation through everything you do to ensure Ground Control are the best at what we do! Key Responsibilities: · Responsible for outputs and performance within your projects, measured against safety, quality, production, budget, required timings and client satisfaction. · Ensure efficient communication with your assigned office based Project Coordinator and relevant action taken to ensure projects are processed in good time for smooth and efficient delivery. · Timely and effective reporting and communication through to your Contract Delivery Manager · Ensure your assigned tree cutting teams have a suitable work bank and are being fully utilised across the wider contract. · Update and manage the relevant programmes of work as well as planning checklists and all similar programmes for your project and assigned teams. · Swift resolving any delayed spans that need client involvement to gain consent. You could currently be working in the Arb industry but we would also be interested to hear from field-based Surveyors or Installation Engineers or ex Armed forces who are looking for a change of industry. Any tree or horticulture related experience from a practical or project management perspective would be a benefit but if definitely not essential To be successful in this role, you must also have: · Practiced and strong negotiation and influencing skills. · Proficient and competent IT. · Well-developed team management and organisational skills. · Ability to prioritise workload and balance demands from numerous sources to ensure that all stakeholder needs are met. · Excellent Customer Service You will need a driving licence as you will be driving to rural locations on a regular basis.
