JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER:

On behalf of our Healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Junior Project Manager for a 6-month role. This position is a Remote position based in British Columbia.

JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Community Projects portfolio includes several initiatives focused on upgrading or replacing end-of-life solutions currently used to deliver community care. The Junior Project Manager will support these community projects, working closely with vendors and following established project management methodologies.

JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • At least six years of combined experience with BC’s Health Organizations
  • At least four years of experience with projects involving BC’s Health Organizations or BC Ministry of Health
  • At least one year of experience as a Junior Project Manager on large IT projects with multiple BC Health Organizations as stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills for developing logical and justifiable options
  • Ability to follow established project management methodologies and frameworks
  • Proficient with Microsoft’s suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint)

JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience in an intermediate role for enterprise strategic initiatives
  • Ability to influence, mediate, and move towards a common vision or goal
  • Exceptional skills in handling sensitive and challenging situations
  • Experience with vendor management
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the Project Management Plan
  • Assist with managing project work and monitoring project progress
  • Assist with scope, schedule, cost, and quality management
  • Support resource management, including team development and resource acquisition
  • Assist with planning and managing communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Support risk management by identifying risks and planning responses
