JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER, SOFTWARE/WEB DEVELOPMENT

At Terra Universal, we continually invest in developing our website and internal applications to better meet the needs of both our customers and internal users. In order to ramp up our development pace, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support our lead project manager in coordinating internal software development and web development projects. This position is ideal for recent graduates with a background in project management or computer science disciplines, who are excellent writers and communicators.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Our offices are located at 800 S. Raymond Ave., Fullerton, CA.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience or familiarity with IT concepts and terminology.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead project manager in planning and prioritizing the development backlog.
  • Conduct research and document findings in response to feature requests and bug reports.
  • Draft user stories, specifications, and/or RFQs for backlog items.
  • Obtain quotes/estimates from external developers and negotiate costs.
  • Present complete proposals to company leadership for approval.
  • Organize project kick-offs and set expectations for budget and timeline.
  • Provide support to internal and external developers by answering questions and removing blockers.
  • Perform initial testing/QA on developer deliverables and coordinate in-depth user testing as needed.
  • Schedule code deployments and document project completion.
  • Write internal announcements for new features or bug fixes.
  • Create documentation for new/updated procedures using various media (e.g., long-form writing, graphics, video content/screenshares).
  • Provide training to users in group settings or one-on-one.
  • Solicit user feedback and follow up on project results.
